It has been eight years since the Great East Japan Earthquake today.

For many Tohoku people, it is a day when the ordinary daily life that was up to yesterday suddenly collapsed. There were 15,897 dead, 2,533 missing, and 3,701 disaster-related deaths. No one would have imagined that tomorrow would be like this.

People are born in this world and think that if nothing is done, they will live for about 80 years. But there is no such promise.
It can be killed by the power of nature. Who should the survivors throw this anger at?

Life is probably without any guarantee. That is why those who survive must pass on the fragility and preciousness of this life to posterity and live hard.
And I would like to devote myself to what I think is really important every day and make an effort. I believe it will be a compensation for the dead.

I feel lonely because I can only share the “fragments” of the hardships of the victims. However, I will continue activities that help reconstruction through my work.

Once again, I pray for the souls of those who have died.
