21st century DX to override 20th century work.
The U.S. government has approved 46 new occupations from those that exist today. (2016)
Many are health-related (Wellness) and IT, etc. The health-related industry can be almost entirely categorized as an information industry, with jobs such as Behavior Analyst and Bioinformatics Scientist.
As car makers move to EVs, they too will move from manufacturing to the information industry: the Apple car is the iPhone with wheels.
In this way, technologists who can express art using NFT and AI (the image of Daito Manabe of Rhizomatiks) are also artists, but they are from the information industry.
This is not about the definition of work, but about how IT-based DX is necessary in the 21st century. A sushi restaurant is no different than it was in the Edo period if all it does is purchase fish and serve it at its restaurant. However, if it creates a database of each customer’s fish preferences and uses AI to make recommendations, or if it uses dynamic pricing based on crowd information, it will become a data scientist specializing in sushi, rather than a sushi restaurant.
It is not that intuition is old-fashioned, but rather that intuition is a hypothesis that can be validated by adding new technologies to tasks that have existed until the 20th century, making them 21st century. That is what DX is all about.
