Conversation”An official of a giant corporation 10 years after being a temporary staff member. What to decipher from this success story” Orient Corporation CEO Hideki Ninomiya x Consultant Atsushi Fukuda
Our friend Nino-san (Hideki Ninomiya) publishes “Diamond, Inc.”, a book representing half a lifetime. “Small laws of success that took me from being a temporary staff member to an official of a giant corporate group at the age of 34”.
This story paints the picture of a young man who went to America after graduating high school with dreams of becoming a musician only to return to Japan after failing. After that, he began working at Otsuka Pharmaceutical as a temporary help desk staff member and became a success story after rising through the ranks to become a company official in just 10 years.
Nino-san currently runs an extremely successful security company that protect other companies. Please read the conversation with Nino-san.

Ninomiya “Companies being hacked from outside is a really big problem at the moment. Unlike in the past when these types of crimes were committed by people for fun and to show off their abilities, they are now being committed by professional cyber terrorist groups that want to make money using methods that provide higher returns for less risk than conventional crimes.
In western countries damages from personal information leaks can run into tens of billions of yen. So called “IT” has now suddenly become an important method of risk management. However, to this day in Japan companies are still only discussing localized, technical things such as “where the holes are” and “what tools protect against viruses”. This makes it difficult for company owners to know exactly how much power they have when it comes to protecting their companies.
This is why I keep it real and explain exactly what kind of people are committing global cyber crimes and their motives for committing them. My job is to advise companies what position they should take and what measures they should implement to confront this problem. As much as I can I try to do this from a business perspective.”
