I hired an outside company for an event, and it was a huge failure because it was so badly set up by a useless company….

My company (Japanese national) has no choice but to ask this contractor (government), and it seems that even if there are other good contractors, we can’t ask them. I wonder if they are contracted by the boss’s connections or something. They talk big, but they don’t move fast enough.

It seems that at this time of year, other companies (in developed countries) are preparing for the event (vaccination) and running it well. It’s only my company that hasn’t started anything yet. We knew this event was coming before it happened, but the arrangements are so bad.

You also knew from last year that the prizes (vaccines) to be distributed at the upcoming event can only be stored below -70 degrees, right? And you haven’t arranged for someone or a car to transport it? Yeah! Not even a freezer for storage? What were you doing at all?

If you want 400 people to get prizes in one venue in one day, you need two Santas (doctors) and about 10 more people to hand out the prizes and organize the party (What?!). (You didn’t arrange that either?) And since I have to stay for about 30 minutes after getting the prizes, the parking lot needs to have room for 80 cars. Seriously, didn’t you know?

This vendor should be used to events…. When I told them I wanted to change the vendor, they said no, because the vendor has been with the boss for a long time.
Oh my gosh, this event is never going to go well. I think I’ll just stayhome that time of year now.

But we have a big summer event (the Olympics) coming up, so we can’t just sit back and relax. The client’s boss (Biden) is new, and they are being told that failure is not an option, but the vendor seems to be saying, “Don’t worry, don’t worry, the event will go well even without the prizes. I wonder if anyone will come to the event.
