ロウワーマンハッタン、Sohoにある戸塚 憲太郎さんのアートギャラリー「NowHere NY」を訪ねた。
戸塚さんとかいつから知り合いなのだろう。会うとホッとする。考えてみたら、新宿ルミネのアートショーで江頭誠さんの作品を紹介してもらったのと戸塚さん。あれは昨年の11月だから、その後、江頭アートは表参道で個展をやらせてもらい、今回ロスで初個展。半年で色々できるものだ。感謝！🥰
現在、NowHere NYでは、Ori Harumiさんの展示「I am Here」が6月30日まで開催されている。日本の詩人、まど・みちおさんにインスパイアされたシリーズは、日常の瞬間に美を見出し、都市建築のメッシュを使って表現している。最寄の方は是非！

I visited “NowHere NY”, the art gallery of Kentaro Totsuka in Lower Manhattan Soho.
I wonder how long I’ve known Mr. Totsuka. I feel at ease when I see him. Come to think of it, it was Mr. Totsuka who introduced me to the work of Makoto Egashira at the art show at Shinjuku Lumine. That was last November, and since then, I’ve had a solo exhibition in Omotesando and now Egashira’s first solo exhibition in Los Angeles. You can do a lot in six months. Thank you!
At NowHere NY, Ori Harumi’s exhibition “I am Here” is being held until June 30th. Inspired by the Japanese poet Michio Mado, the series finds beauty in everyday moments and expresses it using the mesh of urban architecture. If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out!
