ダイニングテーブルの照明のデザインが決まる！

以前からお世話になっている森井英敏さんの北海道帯広の工房「DEER HORN SMITH’S」で作ってもらっている。

本物の蝦夷鹿のツノをダイナミックにデザインして作りあげられる。本来、ものすごく無骨な作品なんだけど、沖縄リゾートはモダンテイストなので、白くペイントして3.5mに及ぶ細長いダイニングテーブルに合うように長方形にしてもらった。ツノも外に広がらないように、サークルを描いて丸味を出している。

物凄い重さなので、完成後 北海道から沖縄への輸送にも細心の注意を払って完成させたい。

The design for the dining table lighting has been finalized!

It is being made by Hidetoshi Morii’s workshop “DEER HORN SMITH’S” in Obihiro, Hokkaido, which has been a great help to us for a long time.

The table is made with a dynamic design of antlers of Ezo-deer. Originally, it is a very rugged piece, but since the Okinawa resort has a modern taste, I had it painted white and made into a rectangle to fit the 3.5-meter long, narrow dining table. The antlers were also painted in a circle to give them a rounded appearance so that they would not spread outward.

It is extremely heavy, so we will take the utmost care in transporting it from Hokkaido to Okinawa after its completion.
