Raspy art! Digital Native Contemporary Artist Yuriko Yanaga

I met contemporary artist Yuriko Iyanaga (Yuriko Iyanaga) in Kyoto.
A completely digital native generation that has had digital in their lives since birth.
He had only ever painted digitally.
However, he completed “Oil Painting” at Kyoto City University of Arts Graduate School.
When he painted his first oil painting in art college, he felt uncomfortable painting with a brush. At that time, an oil painting professor told him to use a “Raspberry Pi” (Raspberry Pi).
By the way, Raspi is the smallest infrastructure. It can be easily programmed and connected to a monitor to create a small IoT device.
This led to the creation of a style of expressing this digital drawing on a small monitor via Raspi. The monitor is said to be programmed by finding a display that fits the theme, such as a Chinese one, from a craft parts store. He is concerned with creating weak lines and transparent shapes that match the number of pixels in the monitor.
Once the digital art is done, it is uploaded to a social networking service, saved again, and then finished on a Raspi. He is also a member of the “Mn_3099” team. Network baptism! Interesting!
Yuriko Yanaga represents the digital generation’s communication with a new reality.
He is an artist of utterly unparalleled genius.
I would like to organize solo exhibitions in Tokyo and Los Angeles.
Stay tuned!
