Mankind and monsters all came from the sea!
Tetsuya Tamanoi is an artist who has been greatly influenced by the American West Coast culture of the 90’s media and the monsters created in Japan.

We hope you will enjoy the works that express themselves through a fusion of the California and Hollywood culture they have absorbed as artists and Tokyo.

Japan is an island surrounded by water, thus alienating us from the rest of the world.
Inspired by the amusing western culture resonated from Hollywood and enchanted by Godzilla and other “kaiju” characters. From beyond the sea, Tetsuya Tamanoi explores to express his excitement about the fusion of cultures between Tokyo and LA.
