Rhythms of the Night – SAVIA,” a circus show that rents out an isolated island in Mexico
Gilles Ste-croix, co-founder of Cirque du Soleil, came to a town called San Pancho in Mexico from Canada with the intention of retiring.
However, he thoroughly reworked the show on a local remote small island, including a school for children to become circus performers, “CIRCO DE LOS NIÑOS,” and made it a huge hit. After a little over an hour’s boat ride and a lot of singing and dancing on the boat, we arrived at the island!
The island is already in play from the harbor. There are actors dressed as chameleons in the trees. It is dusk, and the performers come there to play passionate songs as they eat dinner at the island’s achi.
Finally, we went to the huge stage in the center of the island.
