Lecture [Society in the New Era Changed by Art] (Part 2)
Jun Fukuda, Brand Consultant

Fukuda: “It means that no matter how much the world advances, outdoor play and travel will not disappear. And if you want to go out and travel, no one will program anything for you, so you will be required to have an arty sense of style. If you work at a company, your boss or company will give you some sort of sales report for the month or a three-year plan, but if you just do what you are given, you will never acquire an artistic sense.
Therefore, “playing” is an act that requires a great deal of creative talent. Even if you are just going out for drinks with friends, you have to think about what kind of members, what kind of restaurant, what kind of after-party, and so on. You can go on a trip without a plan, but you never know what will happen there, so the whole thing is an art. In that way, I think it is fine to do only what you like in life. So if you find something you like, you should do it with care and love. If you get tired of it, you can change your focus again, and that’s fine too. I think the days of “three years on a stone” are over. If we can give people an environment that allows them to express their inherent freedom, I think both art and society can reach the next stage.”
