Speedy Resorts: Talking about the charms of southern Okinawa from a geographical point of view

Finally, construction begins in earnest!
Architectural design was by Atelier Tete and construction by Kokko Construction.
All together for a commemorative photo!
I am often asked why we are putting up a resort here.
This is because Nanjo has the potential to become the Marina del Rey of Japan.
I’ll talk about the beauty of this city again, but this time I’ll talk about “geographical advantages”.
The Okinawa that everyone is familiar with is probably the area around downtown Naha, the American-like Chatan (Chatan) and Onna Village, where many resort hotels are located.
These areas are located along Route 58 (commonly known as Gopachi) from the airport and are called the West Coast of Okinawa. West because it faces the East China Sea (toward Shanghai).
However, it takes about one and a half hours from the airport to the hotel in Onna Village.
This is the same as in Phuket, Thailand. If you arrive tired from the flight and it takes you an hour and a half to get there, you are done for the day.
The southern part of the city (Nanjo City), where Speedy Resorts will be located, is a 25-minute drive from the airport. If you leave Tokyo in the morning, you can be at the beach in the afternoon.
Same comfortable distance from LAX to Santa Monica in 30 minutes.
In case you are wondering, it takes 30 minutes from the airport to downtown Naha. It takes 30 minutes from Naha to Nanjo. It’s the best triangle where everything can come and go in 30 minutes! If you want to cover everything from ocean fun to nightlife, you can’t do it in the north.
So why was the South not more popular? It can only be said that development was slow due to the humble nature of the land. But recently, people like me have been coming in droves to take notice of the area and are building fashionable restaurants and lodging facilities.
Another reason is that the southern part of the country faces the Pacific Ocean, so sunsets are not seen. (Conversely, Nanjo is a beautiful place to watch the sunrise. (The southernmost point of Okinawa, such as Itoman, does have sunsets.) Conversely, Nanjo is a beautiful place to watch the sunrise. Because it is the place where the sun rises, it is the best power spot.
Across the street from the island is Hyakuna Beach. It has beautiful, untouched nature.
Speedy Resorts will be built on that hill. (Scheduled to open in August 2022)
It is the southern part of the country’s charm to see rainbows reflecting the setting sun.
