Talked dialogue [The starting point of ideas is to “look at the structure”] (Part 1)
Journalist and author Momoko Shirakawa x Brand consultant Jun Fukuda
Fukuda: As for the social structure of Japan, first of all, the absolute number of salaried workers in stable employment is too large. Is one of the main reasons for this a fact that “since there are so many of them, we don’t need to show diversity.
Shirakawa: Yes, that’s right. It is the point that they have been employed from the time they graduated and have been at the mercy of the company for a long time. Moreover, many of their skills are only applicable within that company. I guess you could say that they have put their lives on the line for this ……. You have to wear many corporate warrior’s robes so that you can work 24 hours a day. His wife is also a housewife, and when he gets transferred, everyone moves with him. Your family is held hostage, and you have no freedom to quit.”
