As a local development project, in July 2021, a town called “Vison” (vison) was created in Taki Town, Mie Prefecture!
Japan’s pride in food, culture, art and technology is gathered here.
VISON has buildings and parking lots distributed along the mountain topography, creating facilities as if this were a single town, and creating a landscape that makes the most of the natural surroundings.
In this context, we visited the “nouniyell” (nouniyell), a farm and restaurant operated in cooperation with Kewpie Corporation.
In the farm area, more than 30 kinds of vegetables are grown in an organic environment under the supervision of Mr. Shinpei Murakami, chairman of Ai-No-Kai.
At the attached restaurant, visitors can enjoy dishes supervised by Italian chef Masayuki Okuda, who is famous for his commitment to local production for local consumption. Fresh vegetables from the farm picked by visitors are prepared at the restaurant.
We ate many vegetable leaves raw, including arugula and spinach, all of which were sweet and delicious.
The soil preparation method and the greenhouses that automatically open and close according to temperature were helpful for Speedy Farm.
