Richard Brownson dropped out of high school at the age of 17. He started a student magazine, The Student, but it did not do well and he came up with the idea of putting records in the supplement, which would later lead to the success of Virgin Records.
Steve Jobs visited the video game company Atari when he was 16 years old after seeing a job posting. He said he was badly dressed, but he stayed at the reception desk and insisted on not leaving until they hired him.
All great stories begin on the street. I wrote my new book, “Street-Based Cities 2022,” about how townhouses are necessary for civilization, examining the history of the need for street culture.
