Non’s photo book [Lula BOOKS Non] is now on sale!

On July 13 (Thursday), Non’s 30th birthday, she released her art book “Non,” a bridge to a new stage in her career.

Ltd., publisher of Lula Japan, has released the art book “Non” from its publishing project “Lula BOOKS” on Thursday, July 13.

Not only an actor, NON has been active in the film, music, and art scenes, and has captivated many people of all ages.

Published on his 30th birthday this year, this art book connects “now” and “future” and weaves his thoughts to a new stage.

From a new visual story shot by three photographers, to a new ribbon artwork created by NON herself, a collection of self-portraits describing her current thoughts, exclusive artwork by three international artists, and a discussion project with internationally active guests, the exhibition will feature a wide range of activities.

The book is a memorial to NON’s unfathomable power of expression that has been unleashed by the combination of her various creative talents.

Right here, right now.
The volume opens with a fashion story set in an urban city where “now” comes alive.

Photographer Shun Omiyama, who specializes in graphical expression, has created a world where reality and fantasy resonate. Her lively footsteps on the street point to her current location, where she has been making steady progress, and lead her to the next step.

Shades of Mine
The second film includes fashion portraits that capture a precious moment as they shift from their 20s to their 30s.
Photographer Masaya Tanaka brings out the beauty that exudes from within Nonn, dressed in a variety of outfits, with an exquisite sense of balance.
A sensual and elegant mature expression emerges in the new aspect she has never shown before because of her being in the “in-between” time.

An eternal rhapsody heard on the breeze
Photographer Taro Mizutani’s visual story concludes with an emotional piece of work that expresses passion for the “future” in silence.

The beach surrounded by small hills, rippling water, lush vegetation, and a golden sky. Embraced by Mother Nature’s majestic beauty, the strong gaze that she throws back in response foreshadows her future, which is full of light.

Artworks of Ribbon
NON has been continuously creating “ribbon art,” an art project using many ribbons, since 2020. For this book, NON created a new ribbon artwork in which she herself became a part of the artwork.

Using the ribbon, a symbol of something cute, she expresses it as something eerie and dark. The work that combines such duality of ribbons with Non’s vital essence shows a great swell of her entering a new phase as an artist.

Self-writing
A collection of self-written writings by NON, describing what she feels now.

Words written in a haphazard manner when waking up in the morning or when unable to sleep at night. The private musings of Nanon, written as if sighing, without effort or stretching out. What has changed and what has remained the same, what is important, what is true to oneself, happiness, and memories.

At the end of her twenties, NON’s prose expresses herself without being overbearing.

Little Portrait in Collage
A special artwork was created in a cross-border collaboration with three artists.

Ben Lewis Giles, a British artist who creates collages from found photographs of flowers and butterflies; Lorena Olmedo, a Spanish artist who applies colored thread stitching to photographs; and Juan Francisco Bertoni, an Argentine artist who combines photographs with energetic paintings. Juan Francisco Bertoni, who combines photographs with energetic paintings; Spanish artist Lorena Olmedo, who stitches colored threads into photographs; and Argentine artist Juan Francisco Bertoni, who creates works filled with his own unique ideas based on photos from Non’s childhood that have never been exhibited.

Time with Special
Two conversations with people whom Noun wishes to meet now that she is on the threshold of her thirties.

Guests will be Yoshitomo Nara, one of Japan’s leading contemporary artists, and CHAI, who has been gaining attention overseas as “NEO-New Excite Onna Band. The two artists discuss their honest feelings about art and music, sensitivity and values, overseas activities, experiences and changes, and each other, bringing her current inner life into relief.
