Next year is already next month. Huh!

The first art production of the new year is a large solo exhibition by Susumu Matsushita.
Matsushita’s works have become so popular worldwide that even prominent foreign gamers have recently inquired about them, although there are many people who can recall seeing any of his paintings. Original paintings will be available for sale, so please take this rare opportunity to visit us at Shibuya Hikarie.

I will also be there on Thursday, January 11 at 4:00 pm.

What is good transcends time… and continues to draw illustrations that will always be loved and never fade away.

“Who is He?”
Susumu Matsushita is unquestionably one of Japan’s leading international illustrators.
He is an unrivaled top illustration and character design artist, especially in his use of airbrushing.
We have created countless illustrations and characters for animation and video games, symbolic character designs for professional sports teams, character designs for corporations, magazine cover illustrations, and much more. I have created countless illustrations and characters for the world.
Susumu Matsushita was a boy who loved to draw pictures from an early age. According to his parents’ testimony, he used to draw pictures all over the 15-cm square concrete path with a rotary snowblower, and when passersby stepped on his drawings, he would say angrily, “Don’t step on my drawings! When passersby stepped on his drawings, he would get very angry.
The boy who ‘dreamed’ of one day becoming an artist celebrated his 50th anniversary as a professional artist in 2023.
Susumu Matsushita’s unique world of illustration will continue to expand, and in response to the ever diversifying demands of the media, he will strive to reach even greater heights as an artist!
The theme of this year’s gallery, “Oldies but Goodies”… “Oldies may be old, but goodies will always be goodies! is a reflection of the idea that Susumu Matsushita will continue to draw illustrations that will be loved by people forever.
