NHK Sogo’s “Suzu-san 2021: Tell us about your war,” narrated by Non, will be available for viewing until today! (until 8:45 p.m.)

The “#Suzu-san here and there” project aims to find people like Suzu-san, the main character in the movie “In a Corner of the World” (produced in 2016; director: Sunao Katabuchi; original story: Fumiyo Kouno), who worked hard every day during the war, and connect them using the # (hashtag).
The main theme of this year’s exhibition is “Wisdom of Living through the Difficult Times.

In the “#Suzu-san 2021: Tell us about your wars” section, we will introduce animated episodes of “Suzu-san” from all over the country, which are very ordinary people sent in by you.
The animation will be narrated by “Non”, as she did last year.

Tin here and there, I will participate in this year’s reading. Every time I hear about this project, I realize how many people’s stories were told in “This Corner of the World”.

The warm stories from Suzu-san across the country give us a sense of the reality of the time. Not only feeling the horror of wartime, but also learning about the happiness and interesting events in the background makes you think that the stories are not irrelevant to you, and that there are things you need to know.
I strongly believe that it is a real pleasure to see Suzu continuing here and there.
