Marketing, lunch at “Jumbo Steak Hands” in Naha with Mr. Yasuhiro Hamano (Ankou-san), a senior staff member in Okinawa.
Mr. Ankou, known as the man who built Shibuya (Q Front, Tokyu Hands, From First, etc.), has been very active this year, not only in Okinawa but also in Lake Biwa with his large scale developments.
Among Mr. Ankou’s many accomplishments, “feeling discovery” became a popular phrase in 1969 when he launched a PR campaign using mass media. He is the one who coined the term “feeling. I think this concept was the twin of the subsequent bias toward academic credentials and the manual society. This word has not faded away even half a century later. I believe that improving one’s “feeling” (the five senses) will be an important part of one’s after-corona.
For this reason, travel, experience, and companionship are important.
It’s hard but fun to follow the backs of our seniors.
Katsuhiko Nakamoto, founder of Jumbo Steak Hands, joined us for lunch and we had a fun “yuntaku” time. Mr. Nakamoto is the man behind Okinawa Steak!
I also learned about Iriomote Island and Hatoma Island, so I would like to visit them next year.
